Worth a penny?

This one's a silent tribute to a dad from his beloved son who carried him on his shoulder bearing every jolt and jerk up straight....

Bearing the frigging price of my jeans...
He never confessed,Am the prince...
I hear the silent roars of his empty tummy...
Is it worth just a penny?

My hour with pals at Cafe Coffee Day...
Must be worth his full day sweat stained pay...
Regrets, He hardly puts up any...
Is it worth just a penny?

With all his caressing smiles...
He hid the mounting debt piles...
He asks, 'Are you happy honey?'
Is it worth just a penny?

He chokes deep from chest with pain...
My failure letting his effort in vain...
He never banked to his own agony...
Is it worth just a penny?

He never dreamt of a life in mansion...
Seeing me come up in flying colors, His only passion...
He carried me steady, No matter how thorny...
Was it all worth just a penny?
